This afternoon, I want you to consider one question: what's your perfect workday? Many of us can imagine a perfect vacation day or weekend day, but what would an ideal, productive weekday look like?
Would you spend it brainstorming? Networking? Cranking out work in machinelike fashion? A bit of all the above? Grab a sticky note, sheet of scratch paper or blank page in your favorite text editor and map out your perfect day. Get as specific as you can, whether that's by breaking it out into blocks of a few hours or by creating an hour-by-hour breakdown.
Now break down your average actual workday in the same fashion. Compare the two. What barriers are holding you back from having a perfect workday every day? What are you doing today to help break down those barriers?
