boosting productivity

We all know those people that just seem to get everything done in no time. Do they drink some sort of magical tea? Were they just born smarter than the rest of us? Absolutely not. Really productive people tend to have similar habits and by studying and emulating them, we can become extremely productive human beings. Here are the top three of Kevin Daum's list of six things really productive people do.

1. Pick your Priorities Understand that certain aspects of life require certain commitments. Make sure you understand what you are getting into before you take a leap. For Kevin, this meant becoming a consultant because he likes business, but isn't about the life of a big company CEO. Carefully consider your career path, and where you want to end up.

2. Integrate Your Activities Many people stress out about doing so many things in one day. Instead of trying to make time to do each individual thing, try to integrate similar activities in order to create more free time. For example, if you need to make a quick stop for work near a park your kids enjoy, combine the trip. Things like this allow for maximum productivity.

3. Be an Active Learner Always be on the lookout for new idea or practices that could increase your productivity. If you notice a colleague is using new software, research it and see if it could help you out. We live in a dynamic world that presents new opportunities daily. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and become the most productive person possible.
