Meet Billy: Dream Lunch Dates & Biggest Fears
This week, Billy talks about why our CEO Marissa Brassfield is his dream lunch date, and how Britney Spears has influenced his life.
1. Knowing what you know now, what is one piece of advice you would give to a younger you?
Straight out of the nest when my credit score was still a virgin, I would tell myself to go travel. The experiences that we have when we are young come and go so quickly, and looking back now, I had plenty of time for more.
2. If you could have lunch with anyone in the world tomorrow, who would it be and why?
Get ready to gag because I'm cheesy as hell, but if I could have lunch with anyone in the world it would be my righthand woman, Marissa Brassfield. Dining out is one of my absolute favorite things to do, but sometimes dining out can be stressful with people you don't know well, especially if it was some huge superstar like Britney Spears. With Marissa, I know I can suck the last sliver of meat off the rib and enjoy myself, and I love that.
3. What is your biggest motivation to succeed and live the life you want to live?
I want to see others succeed! I want to live my best life and make people happy by doing what I do. I want to share my successes and secret sauce to teach others to create happiness in and around their lives too.
4. What is your biggest fear and how have you overcome it?
I hate having nightmares and I'm scared of high winds. Neither I have any control over. I'm doomed.
5. What is one defining moment that has made you who you are today?
Funny because I already brought her up once in this interview, but seeing Britney Spears do a back handspring in the "Baby One More Time" video was the moment that I said, "I wanna do that!" I remember that I was standing in my bedroom, slowly getting dressed for school and watching MTV when it still played music videos. I had Britney's single on CD, but had not seen the music video yet. After seeing her kick those cute little tennis shoes over her head, I was enrolled in gymnastics class by the time she landed. My gymnastics led to physical comedy and yada, yada, yada. My point is, I do what I do because of Britney Spears.
