We all have bad habits that we know are wrong, but we've become so used to having them around that we just don't do anything about it. If you're looking to maximize your productivity, you're going to have to say goodbye to a few of those bad habits.
I know that multitasking may seem like a great idea, but trust me -- it's not. When you are having a conversation with someone, put you're phone away and be completely present. If you are staring at your phone, you won't be paying attention and you'll only be wasting everyone's time. The same goes for meetings. Be present during meetings and stop trying to multitask. The more you pay attention, the more details you'll spot, the more ideas you'll present and the more opportunities you'll snag.
Going back to that smartphone of yours, it might be time to get rid of all those notifications you have. These will simply disrupt and distract you from whatever you are working on. Instead of letting your notifications take over your day, try checking your phone every 30 minutes to an hour. This will give you uninterrupted time to complete tasks.
What bad habits do you hope to break?
