Should your office institute "Work From Home" Fridays? According to this infographic by Splashtop, yes. Office employees who work from home report a 10 to 20 percent increase in productivity on the days in which they telecommute, and 36 percent of employees say they'd rather have the ability to telecommute than a pay raise.
Telecommuting isn't just about personal productivity, however. Some 80 percent of U.S. workers get to their office by driving alone in a car, and the average commute is 45 minutes per way. In a world where gas prices seem to escalate by the minute, the ability to save on gas is good for employees' wallets and the environment.
