Infographics are my kryptonite, and this "Best Twitter Practices" infographic by NJI Media shares a handful of helpful strategies for using Twitter effectively and some fascinating statistics on the microblogging service. For example, did you know that 57 percent of all retweets include a link, and that 53 percent of Twitter users retweet other users?
Another valuable pair of statistics from the "Best Twitter Practices" infographic is that the most retweets occur between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and 4 p.m. is the most-retweeted time of the day. I'm currently experimenting with the timing of my social media updates using two free bookmarklets (Buffer and Timely). The former allows you to customize the times at which your queued updates get posted, while the latter analyzes your last 199 tweets, then posts your queued updates on an ever-changing schedule based on the times at which your followers are most active.
I'll write a more exhaustive post about Buffer and Timely at a later date, but what do you think about the Twitter best practices mentioned in the infographic above?
