A kitchen timer or timer on your phone can help you assess how long it takes for you to complete tasks, and challenge you to focus and complete them in a shorter amount of time. Set the timer for 25-30 minutes and ensure you complete one task during that time frame.
Emails are the one aspect of work life that you simply can't avoid, but they tend to just become a distraction. To counteract this, set specific times during the day in which you can check and reply to emails. Schedule this two to three times into your day to ensure nothing goes missed. Then, keep your notifications off to make sure your emails don't distract while you are complete your tasks.
