Millennials are changing the game and have begun to shift the workforce in more ways than one. Millennials are those born between 1980 and 2000, so they are currently between the ages of 15 and 35. Chirag Kulkarini from Insightfully shares seven ways millennials are shifting the traditional mindset and gaining success at a young age.

- They’re hungry. Give them a challenge, they will accept. Tell them they can’t and they will prove you wrong. They aren’t accepting the stereotype.
- They’re talking. Young entrepreneurs are connecting faster and more often than ever before. Youth are able to lead other youth on a global scale due to new technological advances.
- They’re learning from the inside out. They are becoming “intrapreneurs.” They are learning from the best by seizing opportunities from Fortune 500 companies and startups in order to master their trades before they decide to break out on their own to solve their own grand challenge.
- They’re understanding. By 2018, millennials will account for 50% of the workforce. They will outspend every generation prior. Due to their creativity and saturation in the market place, they will understand it better than anyone, constantly creating new and better products.
- They’re studying. Information is viral and easily accessible. They have more access to information than any generation before. Therefore, they are reading more and learning more through all forms of information. They are teaching themselves the critical skills they need to become successful.
- They’re creating. Young people are constantly creating. Due to social media, many have the opportunity to share their ideas, test, and iterate faster than ever before. As Peter Diamandis says, they are failing early, failing often, and failing forward.
- They’re obsessed. They are preparing to take over the world and have the tools to do so at their fingertips.
Steve Jobs famously said, “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do."
So look out for the millennials. You may not see things eye-to-eye with them, but they have the power and passion to do great things.
