As humanity has progressed and grown, so have our technological abilities. The days of face-to-face meetings and faxing documents seem so far behind us. Thanks to technology, we can now work more efficiently which leaves us more time for the things we love to do. If you want to increase your productivity at work, consider implementing some of the tech savvy practices listed below.

Teleconference Regularly Face-to-Face meetings can be difficult, especially if your co-worker lives on another continent. Take advantage of technology and meet virtually, either through video or teleconferencing. This way, you will both be on the same page for the tasks at hand.

Stand Up For 15 Minutes a Day Since most of us sit at our desks all day long, a bit of standing during the day can be a good way to get the blood flowing and to rejuvenate yourself. Ty Morse, CEO of Songwhale, has his employees engage in a 15-minute meeting where all employees stand. Morse claims this is a great way to get the attention of everyone, and to loosen up a bit during a tense workday.

Use software to Increase Productivity You cannot improve what cannot be measured. Use planners to create more efficient days. Track your time spent performing various tasks, and observe where time can be saved. We live in a world where technology is growing exponentially, and by harnessing this growth we can become better, more productive workers.
