This MastersDegree.net infographic on the downsides of freelancing makes me feel lucky that I’ve had so much good fortune as a freelancer. Some 60 percent of freelancers are women, and 42 percent of Gen-X workers freelance — promising numbers, for sure. Unfortunately, 80 percent of freelancers reported not having enough work in 2009, and 50 percent were forced to dig into their savings to make ends meet that year.
